A Description of the Organ followed by A Recital by PERCY HULL 
Relayed from Hereford Cathedral 
This series of broadcasts will describe and illustrate different types of organs in the Midlands ; thus there will be a cathedral organ, parish church organ, college organ, school organ, and a country house organ. Descriptions of these will be given and will be followed by a recital by the particular organist. 
Hereford Cathedral organ was the gift of Charles II. Dr. John Bull , who composed the National Anthem, was organist there in 1582. Dr. Percy Hull has been organist of the cathedral since Armistice Day, 1918. He had been a chorister and organ pupil and assistant organist there ; indeed, his long connection with the cathedral was only broken by the War, during most of which he was interned in Germany. His association with the Three Choirs Festival began in 1894 and he has conducted these festivals at Hereford since 1921.
