Relayed from Leicester Airport Leicester is among the first Midland cities to have an aerodrome of its own. The opening ceremony was to have been last year and a relay had been arranged, but the drought affected the grass so adversely that the function was postponed. Mr. Lindsay Everard , M.P. for the Melton Division, has been largely responsible for the arrangement of the series of broadcast talks and discussions, ' Looking to the Air '.
