A pastiche of the English inn by Thomas Burke with the BBC Drama Repertory Company
Produced by Maurice Brown
Ever since the first English inn was built men have gathered in the tap-room to eat, to drink, to argue, to discuss politics, local affairs, and, in fact, make of the ' pub ' a club. In this programme six scenes taking place in the ' George and Dragon ' will give listeners a picture of a typical English inn from the days of Elizabeth up to the present time.
