from Sandy Macpherson at the theatre organ
Sandy Macpherson says about this programme: ' I only wish I could have sent a Christmas card to every one of my radio friends. That was, of course, impossible, so this afternoon I'm going to do the next best thing—I'm going to send you all a musical Christmas card over the air.'

An appeal on behalf of the British ' Wireless for the Blind' Fund, by The Unknown Blind Man
There are about 80,000 blind people of all ages in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, whom, on past Christmas Days, listeners have helped through the British ' Wireless for the Blind' Fund. The appeal this Christmas night is again on the fund's behalf ; for blindness falls every year on some thousands of people, many of them ageing and in poor circumstances, who have no chance of obtaining a set except through the fund.
The blind succeed to an extraordinary degree in living active, interested, and useful lives without sight. Broadcasting, more than any other invention of modern times, brings them into touch with the happenings and ideas of the day.
The Unknown Blind Man who made so many friends when he spoke about himself and his fellows five Christmases ago will tonight appeal again.
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged, and should be addressed to The British ' Wireless for the Blind ' Fund, [address removed]
