The Eldon Street Revival
Our industrial cities are at death's door. The populations that gave them life are retreating in search of work and opportunity.
Left behind are the elderly, the sick, the unemployed. But in Liverpool, as John Harrison discovers, one dockland community is stubbornly - and successfully - staying put. The 'Eldonians' are raising millions of pounds to build homes and jobs, and urging local businessmen to 'do what we did - get off your backsides and have a go'. They are revivalists with a message.
