At one time the village cricket ground of Broadhalfpenny Down, Hambledon, played host to the greatest names in cricket. In one memorable game, Hambledon beat England by an innings and 168 runs. That was 200 years ago.
To mark the famous victory of 1777 today's village cricketers issued another challenge, and on a glorious summer's afternoon an mcc team came down to play them on that same Hampshire field.

The last in a series of nine documentary films about the Bolton Area Health Authority. Geriatrics
The story of Belle and Alfred Metcalfe , both in their 80s, and both in the same hospital. He is recovering from an operation: she has severe arthritis in the knees.
Both yearn for their discharge from the male and female geriatric wards, so that they can be together again in their small terrace house in Bolton. But discharge depends on the result of tests monitored by the physiotherapists, occupational therapists and social workers - tests to determine if they can cope on their own, for example make a cup of tea, or go to the lavatory unaided. The film ends when a decision has been reached, and the Metcalfes are told whether they will have to live apart in geriatric wards, or be reunited in their own home.
