Last year Great Britain brought off a most unexpected victory when they beat Italy in the First Round. This year the draw has again matched them in the First Round - this time on clay in Rome. The Italian team again start as favourites with the added advantage of their best surface. Five matches spread over three days will decide who plays either Spain or New Zealand.
