Dr. and Mrs. Dale's quiet Christmas holiday in Malta has been rudely interrupted by the intrusion of some very breezy friends of Sally's, intent on giving them a gay time. In Exton. Gwen has persuaded Mrs. Maggs to spend Christmas Day with Mrs. Morris, and Adam York 's holiday arrangements have made him the centre of female concern. In London, Jenny has had to buy presents for all the company of her play, and Mrs. Freeman has had a confrontation with Father Christmas, and recognised a face from the past.
