A cartoon series from America.
The adventures of a wonder beat group of crime fighters - Coilman, Liquidman, and Multi-man - and Buzz, a boy scientist, and his super-powered monster robot.

Coilman can bore his way through any obstacle. Liquidman - well, obviously, he can turn himself into liquid. And Multi-man's ability to become a crowd is just great for confusing the opposition. Buzz's monster robot - controlled by Buzz and his scientist father - is called Frankenstein Jr. But don't let the name fool you - Frankenstein is in there battling against evil-doers like the rest of them.

at 2.50 Racing from The Curragh: The Irish Sweeps Derby
From a total of 582 entries for the Irish Derby at The Curragh probably only a dozen will face the starters this afternoon. The normal drop-out rate accelerated remarkably when Sir Ivor, the American-bred colt, completed his big English double in the 2,000 Guineas and the Derby.
First prize money in the Irish race is around £58,000, but even if Sir Ivor walks off with that there is still compensation of nearly £12,000 for second place.
It will be ironic if Ribero can beat Sir Ivor. A full brother of last year's winner, Ribocco, Ribero will be ridden by Lester Piggott who has been so closely associated with Sir Ivor's rise to stardom. This time the favourite is ridden by Liam Ward, trainer Vincent O'Brien's stable jockey.

The fifth of a new series of special television debates.

Ludovic Kennedy calls Lionel Daiches, Q.C. to prove this proposition and Baroness Wootton of Abinger to disprove it.

Each side calls witnesses to substantiate its argument. The issue is debated before a panel of thirty lawyers and a specialty invited audience.
Lionel Daiches, who lives and practises in the city of Glasgow with its violent crime wave, argues for retribution by society against the criminal.
Barbara Wootton, social scientist and magistrate, contends that the traditional concept of retribution is totally outmoded.
