As the Nimbasa Pokémon Battle Tournament (dubbed the “Club Battle”) rages on, we come to Cilan’s first round match against Trip, who once battled Cilan’s brother Chili at the Striaton City Gym. Although Burgundy, Cilan’s rival, wants Cilan to lose in the worst way and Trip and his Gurdurr battle with power and synchronicity, Cilan prevails, as has Ash, Iris and Luke in their first round matches. Then, it’s on to round two!
