Nadine Sierra sings Donizetti's tragic heroine at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in London, with tenor Xabier Anduaga as her lover Edgardo and Giacomo Sagripanti conducting.

Caught in a family feud, and cornered by the men around her, Lucia becomes haunted by memories of the past. When she is tricked into marrying Arturo against her will, the scene is set for a shocking climax.  

Martin Handley presents, and with guest Mary Ann Smart discusses the production and the tragedy of Lucia's descent into madness.
