While her kitchen dries out Mrs Hobbs is at the Brooklyn-Bells' house with George. Waffle joins the walk to school on Evie’s first day but causes playground chaos and is sent home.

It's the morning of Evie's first day at school and the Brooklyn-Bells are on schedule. But Waffle isn't happy as he is expecting his usual morning
walkies. Doug tells Waffle that Gramps will be walking him today; he'll be coming to the house later. Waffle is insistent, he wants to walk to school with the rest of the family…now! Evie thinks it's a great idea. She's nervous about starting Reception and walking to school with Waffle will make her feel happy.
