Nicola talks to author and screenwriter Anthony Horowitz about his new book Close to Death, and the success of his most recent TV series, Magpie Murders. 

Glasgow-based writer Rose Ruane tells Nicola about her second novel Birding, about two forty-something women trying to untangle the damage of their past: one who has lived her entire life with her abusive mother, the other a former teen pop star who is beginning to realise her past experiences were really not ok. 

And in the Tuesday Review, author Jenny Colgan and TV critic Scott Bryan discuss Shardlake, a Tudor murder mystery series on Disney+, based on the books by CJ Sansom; plus new drama The Tattooist of Auschwitz, and the return of Channel 4 reality TV series The Piano.
