In this brand-new documentary, history is rewritten as we follow a team of experts as they use cutting-edge technology to investigate a huge, newly discovered ring at the very heart of the sacred site.

In a gripping new discovery, we see archaeologists use optically stimulated luminescence to date the construction of the great ring – long hidden in the dark earth – for the very first time. We learn that, constructed around 4340 years ago, this giant structure represents the final, crowning addition to the Stonehenge landscape; the last-ever mega-monument of the Neolithic period and a symbol of the end of an era.

Along with today’s most advanced laser mapping technology, drone surveys, innovative laboratory analysis and CGI mapping, these extraordinary new findings finally help us get tantalisingly closer to unlocking the vital secrets of Stonehenge
