Adventurer Alex Staniforth explains how the great outdoors has helped him through some dark times, including Long Covid, which he documents in his new film, Head Above Water. 

Reporter Paul English takes a trip to St Augustine’s Church in Coatbridge, where the relics of the venerated Saint, Padre Pio, have been blessing parishioners at a special mass. 

Author Catherine Nixey explores the context around the landscape 2000 years ago where different versions of the messiah story existed; the subject of her book, ‘Heresy – Jesus Christ and the other sons of God’. 

Tony Kearney hears from comedian Joe Wells, who is currently on tour with his show ‘King Of The Autistics’, and screenwriter Lorna King, about the importance of representing neurodiversity on the stage and screen.  

To pour over some of the topical stories from the week Tony is joined by  Islamic scholar Yahya Barry, Stella Campbell, Minister of Kingshill Parish Church of Scotland in Aberdeenshire, and Graham Burgess, a freelance journalist and a practising Baha’i.  

The 100 million pounds earmarked by the Church of England to help repair damage caused by historic links to slavery is not enough according to a new report. The panel discuss what constitutes real reparations for the lasting impact of the transatlantic slave trade.  

They offer their thoughts on Oscar-nominated film, Perfect Days. It tells the story of the day-to-day life of a toilet cleaner in Japan, who finds contentment in the little things - but what makes for the perfect day?  

They reflect on the start of Ramadan, the most Holy month of the Islamic faith. 

And as it’s Mothering Sunday, Tony finds out how the spiritual life of the panel has been influenced by their mothers, and what their faiths say about motherhood.
