Marking Holocaust Memorial Day, Cathy hears from two people who grew up with parents who escaped the Holocaust and the impact this had. And reviews new film The Zone of Interest.

This Thursday is Time to Talk Day, encouraging us all to join in a nationwide mental health conversation. But how difficult is it to discuss mental health in the workplace and how can co-workers help support their colleagues who may be feeling vulnerable? Cathy Macdonald finds out more with Chris O'Sullivan, mental health awareness consultant, and Jennifer Barnes whose lived experience has made her a champion for mental health awareness at work.  
 
New film The Zone Of Interest follows the commandant of Auschwitz, Rudolph Höss, as he strives to build a dream life for him and his family in a house next to the concentration camp. Jewish community youth worker Sydney Switzer explores the film’s themes and the dangers of ‘the banality of evil’. 
 
The Church of Scotland has announced a landmark restructuring of its presbyteries bringing nine former regions in the Western Isles and the north of Scotland under one presbytery called Clèir Eilean Ì. Moderator of the new presbytery Doug McRoberts explains the changes and their impact on parishioners.
 
Cathy finds out about touring exhibition The Faces of Faith, which showcases portraits reflecting Scotland’s diverse religious and cultural communities, with Frances Hume, the National Development Officer at Scottish Interfaith, and Sujan, a Buddhist monk based in Aberdeen who is featured in the exhibition.
 
To mark Holocaust Memorial Day, Cathy meets two people whose Jewish parents escaped Germany as children just prior to the Second World War. Alan Reich and Alix Lee share how the Holocaust cast a shadow over their parents’ lives, and the impact this had. 
 
Smoke has been used in traditional ceremonies all over the world for centuries. Beate Fricke, author of new book Holy Smoke: Censers Across Cultures, looks at the importance of incense and the censers that are used to burn it across cultures, religions and time.  
 
Earlier this month, Amazon Prime announced a major new investment into ‘series and films rooted in spirituality’. One of its first productions will be House of David, which follows the once-mighty King Saul as he falls victim to his own pride. Dr Dafydd Daniel, Lecturer in Divinity at the University of St Andrews, and theatre critic and classics teacher Gareth K Vile examine whether this signifies a need for more religion on our screens, or simply a shrewd business move.
