Prisoner set to be first person in US executed using nitrogen gas

Kenneth Eugene Smith is set to become the first person in the US to be executed by nitrogen gas.

Alabama death row inmate, Kenneth Eugene Smith, is about to undergo the first US execution by nitrogen gas after losing last-minute appeals. 

We speak to Reverend Dr Jeff Hood, who will accompany him in the execution chamber, as his spiritual adviser. 

Also in the programme: We hear from supporters of Argentine President Javier Milei after a mass protest yesterday; and scientists in Australia have discovered that fungi exposed to acoustic stimulation seem to grow faster.
