President Biden discussed options with Prime Minister Netanyahu

President Biden has spoken to Benjamin Netanyahu for the first time in nearly a month, a day after the Israeli leader appeared to emphatically reject a key part of US policy on the Middle East. Mr Biden denied that Mr Netanyahu had ruled out the eventual creation of a Palestinian state once the fighting in Gaza was over. The Israeli prime minister is also facing harsh criticism from a member of his war cabinet. Gadi Eisenkot has accused him of not telling the truth about the goals of the military campaign.

Also in the programme: republicans prepare for New Hampshire primary, and further US strikes in Yemen. 

Joining presenter Luke Jones are Oana Lungescu, Romanian-born journalist, former Nato spokesperson, now distinguished fellow at RUSI- Royal united Services Institute, a defence and security think tank here in the UK; and Julian Borger, British journalist and world affairs editor for the Guardian.
