Ben Fogle joins the team as they try to track down some newborn wolf pups.

Kate and Ben join keepers celebrating the birth of wolf pups, but can they find them? And love is in the air as a pair of long-lost lovers are reunited.

Kate Humble and Ben Fogle are catching up on the love stories at Longleat Safari Park. Today, there is huge excitement amongst the carnivore team as it seems the European wolves, captured mating previously, have given birth to pups! But wolves are notoriously secretive, so keeping an eye on these new arrivals is far from easy. When first-time dad Django oversteps his parenting role, the keepers have no way of knowing if an injured pup has survived. Ben joins the team and gets an extremely rare opportunity to enter the wolves’ den to check the health of their new litter.

Ben and Kate also meet the newest diva at the park - Inny the giant otter. Everyone has fallen in love with this recent arrival, but boy, does she take some handling! She is a lady who is used to getting her own way. So how can keepers hope to bring her to heel for her own safety – especially as she is about to be reunited with her old mate Gordito? If she won’t play ball, will it be vicious claws and teeth when the two old lovers come face to face with each other again, rather than the love story keepers are hoping for?

Saying hello to Inny means also saying a sad goodbye to some of the most entertaining characters of the park. Penguin Island is no more. Avian malaria decimated the Humboldt colony. Only a few birds survived and they have now gone to other collections. Kate catches up with keepers Georgia and Lucy to reminisce about some of their favourite penguins and their unforgettable antics.

And over in Animal Adventure, a beautiful new anteater baby has captured Kate’s heart, but keepers are having a hard time figuring out what to name it. In order to make the final decision, they need to find out if it is a boy or a girl.
