Birmingham quartet Chartreuse are in session this week, playing songs from their debut album Morning Ritual. Harriet and Mike of the band talk to Roddy about DIY recording, playing live in America and how it feels to be finally showcasing the collection on a UK headline tour.

Irish singer Cian Ducrot also drops in to share a track from his favourite live album. His debut album, Victory, gave him a #1 hit in the summer and he’s got over 50 headline shows lined up between now and the end of the year, starting in Glasgow next week.

Also, a BBC Sofa Session from Dublin’s Inhaler, with songs from their album Cuts & Bruises alongside a brilliant Echo & The Bunnymen cover. And news of the first bands announced for the Belladrum Festival 2024.
