When death stalked the streets of Paris at the time of the French Revolution, no one was safe - not even the greatest chemist of his day.

While Antoine Lavoisier battles on with his meticulous scientific theories, a bitter rival opts to take his revenge.  

Lavoisier’s wife Anne is  desperate to flee the city, but her proud husband has other ideas…
