The pan-African organisation is expected to be a permanent member of the G20

Officials gathering at the G20 summit in Delhi say they expect the African Union to become the latest member of the organisation.

Officials at the G20 summit in Delhi say the African Union could become a member.  The proposal has been backed by the US and by India, which is hosting the meeting.
