Mary Hopkin is one of Wales’ most iconic voices. In this documentary, writer Nigel Crowle discusses Mary’s musical career, from her first hit, 55 years ago, to her current album.

In 1968, ‘Those Were The Days’ reached Number 1 in the charts, propelling Mary Hopkin into the showbiz spotlight. 
55 years on, Mary is still making music but very much on her own terms. 
Presenter Nigel Crowle chats about Mary’s career with her daughter, and current musical collaborator, Jessica Lee Morgan. 
Other contributors include musician Lesley Beynon, the teenage friend who was taught to play the guitar by Mary herself. There’s also an opportunity to listen to a mother-daughter chat between Mary and Jessica, tying in with the recent release of their current album of duets.
