J Robert Oppenheimer's grandson shares his thoughts on the 'father of the atomic bomb'. Plus what fuels our obsession with the end of the world, and is Barbie a feminist hero?

There can often a perception that disabilities are something that you can always see. To discuss how society can better support those with hidden or invisible disabilities are Olivia Fulton who talks about her experience living with severe asthma on her blog Anonymous Asthma, and Lyn Pornaro, the CEO of Disability Equality Scotland.  

In her new podcast Ritually, journalist Nelufar Hedayat sets out on a psychological and physical journey. She looks for healing and wellness through the exploration of rituals, pulling from other faiths, cultures, and the secular world.  

From post-nuclear war wastelands to flesh-eating zombies, apocalyptic themes have always been a source of inspiration for writers and filmmakers. But a real global pandemic seems to have fuelled the popularity of the genre. Joining Tony to look at this trend and some of its religious influences are the writer A L Kennedy and Doug Gay - Senior Lecturer in Theology & Religious Studies at Glasgow University and a Church of Scotland minister. 

Ahead of the release of Oppenheimer – one of this year’s most eagerly anticipated movies – Tony catches up with Oppenheimer’s grandson Charles Oppenheimer to discuss the legacy of this complicated and fascinating scientific figure who has become known as the ’father of the atomic bomb’.
