Michelle McManus is joined by Nathan Evans to discuss making new music after The Wellerman. Plus a look at new documentary Stephen King on Screen and this month's Audiobook Group.

Michelle McManus is joined by the TikTok sensation Nathan Evans. His cover of sea shanty The Wellerman was the song that made him go viral, and in his new BBC Scotland documentary – What Next for the Wellerman? – he enters a new chapter, writing and releasing powerful pop tracks of his own. 

Writer Eliza Henry-Jones connects from Melbourne to discuss her new novel Salt and Skin, which was inspired by a chance trip to Orkney – after which she uncovered an eerie link to the islands that she didn’t know she had. 

Director Daphné Baiwir speaks to Siobhan Synnot about her new documentary Stephen King on Screen which goes behind the scenes of the horror legend that brought us books like It, the Shining and Carrie.  

No hot summer day is complete without a summer soundtrack – and Glasgow singer songwriter Kirsteen Harvey will share her latest tune which aims to be just that. She chats with Michelle about what inspired it, and how she balances a love of traditional Scottish music with a passion for creating in her own style.

Plus in this month’s Audiobook Group Bruce Devlin takes a deep dive in to Ruby Wax’s latest book – I’m Not As Well As I Though I Was. He’s joined by writer Mary Paulson-Ellis to discuss how the book navigates the raw topic of Ruby Wax’s mental health, and how comedy can help to navigate these darker moments.
