Who sets the news agenda in a changing media landscape? Plus a look at why hell captures our imagination, and reflection on some of the many depictions of Jesus on our screens.

Generation Z and millennials are significantly more likely to believe in hell and an afterlife according to a new survey. So why does the concept of hell capture our imagination? Martin Palmer, a specialist in faiths and culture and Professor Mona Siddiqui, an academic and broadcaster at the University of Edinburgh join Connie to discuss. 

As Martin Scorsese announces yet another cinematic exploration of Jesus, Martin Palmer and film critic Gareth K Vile look at some of the films and tv shows on the life of Christ that continue to captivate audiences worldwide, as well as prompting heated debate.  

When you’re coupled up, amid the love comes... admin. From combined bills, date nights and the weekly menu – it takes effort, which is why some people, like relationship and sex educator Esther De La Ford and business owner Kelly Fairweather are using colour-coded spreadsheets and weekly meetings to make sure they spend quality time with their families.  

For many of us a daily news hit is a regular practise. But how does the changing media landscape impact which stories we are fed? Connie is joined by freelance journalist and foreign correspondent, Assa Samaké-Roman and Head of Media and Humanities at Edinburgh Napier University, James Blake.  

In recent years, more young adults are choosing to live at home instead of moving out and becoming independent. Actress and comedian Lubna Kerr and Kelly Fairweather discuss how to navigate this living arrangement in a way that works for both young adults and their parents.  

Social media can be a tool to share knowledge and perspective in an accessible way, and for some this includes religious teachings. Connie is joined by Aisha Murray (The Scottish Revert Teacher) and Laura Young (Less Waste Laura) to hear about the pros and cons of these platforms as a way to discuss faith.
