Rachel heads through to Dundee to meet Kim Turford from the Dundee Heritage Trust and Sheena Wellington from the City Centre and Harbour Community Council to find out more about a beloved whale mural getting a makeover. 

Mark went to along to the Cruikshank Botanical Garden in Aberdeen- where Jamie Lee Stevenson has been studying the kinds of vegetation that should be planted in urban spaces for maximum effect.  

Rachel visits Strathmiglo in Fife, which has recently established itself as an eco-village, and lovely place to live both for humans, and bats. Patrick Higgins from the Strathmiglo Conservation Community and Peter Evans from the Fife and Kinross Bat Group explain why they are erecting bat boxes in the area.

Mark explores the Forth Road Bridge and its rarely seen Anchorage Chamber, with bridge manager at Bear Scotland, David Bishop.

An extract from our midweek podcast, Scotland Outdoors, Rachel Stewart visits a cycling club for girls in Alford, Aberdeenshire, to discuss methods to encourage girls to keep cycling ahead of the World Cycling Championships.

Mark visits the Kilmartin Museum in Argyll, to meet Director and Curator, Sharon Webb, as the museum undergoes restoration.

Determined to prevent unnecessary loss of life in the toad, frog and newt communities, Trevor Rose, member of Friends of Angus Herpetofauna, has created a line of ladders to help amphibians climb out of drains. Rachel joined him for a gully pot inspection at Borrowfield Pond in Montrose.
