The search for the next BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year begins! Anna launches the competition for 2024 live on Travelling Folk. 

Acclaimed New England pianist Neil Pearlman joins Anna in session with music from his highly anticipated debut solo album Refractions. Based in Portland, Maine, Neil was brought up in a musical family, surrounded by Scottish and Cape Breton music from a young age. His album is an exciting compilation of traditional Scottish and Gaelic songs, reimagined and specially arranged for solo piano, and brought to life by Neil’s incredible improvisational skills and unique playing style.
