Scottish writer Neil Forsyth joins Nicola Meighan to discuss the record that reminds him of childhood, the track he wishes he'd written and other songs in the key of his life.

Nicola is joined by award-winning author and TV writer Neil Forsyth whose creations include Dundonian burger van tycoon Bob Servant, black comedy thriller Guilt and 1980s heist drama The Gold. 

Neil introduces us to some of the songs that have soundtracked his life, as part of our For the Record series - including the tune that most reminds him of his childhood, the track that he thinks best describes him – the one he can’t resist singing along with - and other songs in the key of his life...
