Now, as the excitement builds to the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 - which will be held in the UK for the first time since 1998, on behalf of Ukraine, who, of course, won last year – this show will discover Your Ultimate UK Eurovision Song, as Steve counts down the results. 

You’ve been voting for your favourite songs from the UK entrants that have competed in the Eurovision final since our first entry back in 1957. It’s more than sixty songs with the exception of the cancelled 2020 contest and this year’s entry from the excellent singer songwriter - 25-year-old Mae Muller from London.

It’s great, because normally we aren’t allowed to vote for our own entry… It’s been a tough vote, with more drama than a key change in the final chorus. 

All the big names are here in your Top 40 – Cliff Richard, Michael Ball, Lulu, Sandie Shaw, Katrina and the Waves, Gina G, Sam Ryder, Blue and Sonia – and that’s just a handful.
