Edinburgh International Festival programme announcement, Chris Carse Wilson on his debut novel Fray, Scotty Plants A Seed, Loaningdale Spring Piano Festival and Single of the Week.

The Edinburgh International Festival programme is announced today and Janice is joined by violin sensation and first female Festival Director, Nicola Benedetti to chat about what’s in store for audiences this August and her first year at the helm. 

Scottish author Chris Carse Wilson chats to Janice about his debut novel Fray. 

Multi-million selling author Conn Iggulden and award winning illustrator Lizzy Duncan discuss their new environmental picture book Scotty Plants a Seed which is published on World Earth Day and teach very young readers about the importance of everyone doing their bit to save the planet. 

A brand new arts venue opens in the Clydesdale valley this week with the inaugural Spring Piano Festival. We hear from festival director Fiona Finch and Scotland-based Russian pianist Nikita Lukinov who also performs live. 

Plus Janice meets the Dundee artist behind the Single of the Week.
