On Easter Sunday Cathy hears about Easter traditions around the world. What it means to go monk mode. Su Pollard and Bobby Seagull on Pilgrimage. And the power of scent.

While in the UK we have our own Easter Sunday rituals such as rolling eggs, around the world Easter is celebrated in a multitude of fascinating ways. Father Vasyl Kren of the Ukrainian Catholic Church ‘Our Lady of Pochayiv’ in Edinburgh joins Cathy to explain the traditions in his part of the world, while theologian Martin Palmer discusses other practises that take place across the globe at this time of year. 
  
Easter is a time often associated with rebirth and new life. In a special feature, Rector Philip Blackledge of Holy Trinity Church in Melrose explores the transformative power of love through the experiences of his closest and oldest friends, and the unexpected new lives opened up to them when they opened their hearts. 
  
The social media trend Monk Mode has been taking TikTok by storm, with millions of users sharing videos showcasing strategies and daily routines to achieve a focused and disciplined lifestyle.  The BBC Social's Taryam Boyd tells Cathy what it means to adopt ‘monk mode’.
  
Psychotherapist Angela Trainer talks about her new book, The Beauty of Broken, an honest, often hilarious and life-affirming account of her diagnosis, treatment and recovery from Breast Cancer.    
  
As springtime brings with it numerous wonderful scents, Cathy explores the role smell plays in our lives and how smells can connect you to the past, with Professor Barry Smith from the Centre for the Study of the Senses at the University of London, and Jennifer Hall, Head of National Support Services at Alzheimer Scotland 
  
And Cathy is joined by actress Su Pollard and mathematician Bobby Seagull to discuss their experiences filming BBC Two’s new series of Pilgrimage, in which seven well-known names undertake the spiritual walk known as the Fatima Way in Portugal.
