On International Women’s Day Michelle speaks to Edinburgh-based writer Anahit Behrooz about her new book – and film season – which celebrate the power of female friendships. 

Writer Stuart Cosgrove and filmmaker Muta'Ali Muhammad will be talking to Michelle about Cassius X, a new film which documents the early life of Muhammad Ali. 

Can you transform a poem or a painting into a piece of music?  Ahead of the premiere of his new compositions Caledonian Portraits, pianist and composer Greg Harradine will be joined by poet Janette Ayachi and sculptor Michelle De Bruin to answer this question. 

And photographer and writer Johny Pitts will be talking about his new exhibition which explores Black culture across Britain, Home Is Not A Place.  

Plus live music from singer-songwriter Callum Beattie, whose album Vandals is currently number one in the Scottish Album Chart.
