On Monday, a large earthquake struck the south-east of Turkey and the north of Syria in the early hours of the morning, causing death and destruction. While people were sleeping, the buildings around them collapsed. Search and rescue workers have been trying to reach people trapped under the rubble, but the death toll is likely to continue to rise.
