Swiss regulators have said they are ready to help troubled banking giant Credit Suisse

Banking regulators in Switzerland have said they are ready to help troubled banking giant Credit Suisse "if necessary".

Credit Suisse could be in line for support from regulators if it is needed. The comments from the Swiss National Bank come after shares in Credit Suisse plunged 24% to a record low.
