China's foreign minister also blamed the US for the distortion of bilateral relations

President Xi's comments were echoed by China's foreign minister, who blamed Washington for the distortion of China-US relations.

President Xi Jinping has told delegates at Beijing's annual Communist Party congress that the United States and its Western allies have brought in "all-round encirclement, containment and suppression" of China.
