An Amish boy witnesses a murder, leading a city cop into the reclusive Amish community.

An Amish boy needs police protection after he witnesses a murder, leading a hardened Philadelphia cop into the reclusive Amish community.

Hardened Philadelphia cop John Book is assigned to the investigation when a child witnesses a savage murder. But when the boy identifies a policeman as one of the killers, Book realises that they are in imminent danger. Forced to flee the city, Book takes the boy and his mother back to their home among the reclusive Amish community, where he slowly assimilates into their unfamiliar way of life.
