Jacqueline Wilson chooses two more Tracks of My Years, plus Record of the Week, Album of the Week and The Love Song.  And everything stops for PopMaster at 1030.

Author and former Children's Laureate, Dame Jacqueline Wilson chooses her Tracks of My Years.

Jacqueline is one of the nation’s favourite authors, her books are loved and cherished by young readers all over the world. She's created such adored characters as Tracy Beaker and Hetty Feather and in the UK alone her books sales stand at over 40 million.

Jacqueline started from an early age, and had her first short story published when she was 17. She was working as a journalist for D.C. Thomson when she helped found Jackie magazine, and more than 50 years after she started working there, D.C. Thomson now publish The Official Jacqueline Wilson Mag.

Many of Jacqueline’s books have been adapted for TV, including most famously Tracy Beaker. The Story Of Tracy Beaker became CBBC’s highest rating drama, and enjoyed multiple spin-offs, including My Mum Tracy Beaker in 2021.

Jacqueline’s books have also been adapted for the stage, including The Lottie Project, Double Act, Bad Girls, Midnight, Secrets, The Suitcase Kid and the musical, Tracy Beaker Gets Real. Recently, an Olivier Award-nominated adaptation of Hetty Feather toured the UK, including a West End production at the Duke of York’s theatre.

In 2002, Jacqueline was awarded an OBE for services to literacy and was made a Dame in 2008. In 2004 it was announced that Jacqueline was the most borrowed author from public libraries in the UK; borrowed more than 25 million times since 1995.
