Nigel Havers presides as members of the public with interesting items to sell come face to face with five dealers who bid against each other to try to bag themselves a bargain.

Before facing the dealers, each seller has their item valued by auctioneer Simon Bower. Simon also gives them top tips on the history and key characteristics of their piece, so that when they enter the bidding room, they have all the information they need to try to haggle the best possible price from the dealers.

All the dealers are spending their own money but have no idea what the sellers have brought in.

Nigel Havers hosts as the dealers bid against each other on a tribal mask and toy horse.

Five dealers bid against each other for three items brought in by the public: a tribal mask, vintage seed drill and toy horse.

Nigel Havers welcomes three more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.

First through the doors is Annalisa, with a unique piece of farming history. Will the dealers work out what it is? Also facing the dealers are mother and daughters Jennifer, Ann and Gina, with a fascinating tribal mask bought from their local school. Simon helps them work out where it came from before they face the dealers. Using their new knowledge, can they strike a good deal? Last to try her luck with our buyers is Chrissy, with a charming family heirloom: a toy horse and cart that she hopes will see her galloping off with a tidy profit.  

Today's dealers are Adi, Ian, James, Jane and Tash. Will any of them match – or even top – the valuation placed on each of the items?
