Janice Forsyth is joined by official Strictly podcast presenter and producer Kim Winston for her weekly update on what’s going on behind the scenes at the Strictly ballroom.

There has been a right calamity with Peter Kay fans crashing websites trying to get their hands on tickets for the comedian’s return to live comedy. Comedian Susie McCabe, comedy critic and podcast producer Gayle Anderson and TV critic and journalist Paul Whitelaw join Janice to discuss Peter’s claim upon his return that “if there's ever a time people need a laugh it's now” by giving their own thoughts on the comedian, his return to live comedy and his popular BBC series Car Share, and they each give their own suggestions for both nostalgic and new TV shows to watch at home for our listeners who don’t want to, or can’t afford to, buy tickets for live comedy gigs but are seeking the escapism of heart-warming feel good comedy.

Our Single of the Week is All That You Wanted from PJ Moore & Co. 2019’s BBC Radio Scotland singer songwriter of the year Mike McKenzie joins Janice to talk about collaborating with PJ Moore, formerly of The Blue Nile, and renowned composer Malcolm Lindsay to create the album When a Good Day Comes. 

Today is the launch of Book Week Scotland so author Heather Parry joins Janice to talk about the event she and Kirsty Logan are hosting together ‘Book Shriek Scotland’ in which five terrifying Scottish folklore tales are shared and questions are asked about the genre such as ‘why are horses so scary?’
