Dr Kieran Connell, historian and writer at Queen’s University, explores the harrowing journeys made by asylum seekers who come from all over the world to find sanctuary in Belfast, a city still struggling with sectarian divisions.  In this episode, a woman is forced to split her family in two as she flees war-torn Syria, only to encounter obstacles of a different kind in Northern Ireland.
