Reeling from the loss of Kenzie, Richelle asks the Step Inside team to show her their best duets to prove their commitment, and Kingston struggles to set boundaries. 

Meanwhile, as her first act as dance captain, Kenzie asks Ethan, Ebby and Daisy to create a trio, and Ethan has trouble collaborating with his team. 

As the two teams each struggle with growing pains, the studio is shaken with totally unexpected news.
