The former health secretary, Matt Hancock, has made his first appearance in the jungle on the ITV reality show I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here-- and had insects and slime poured over him in a 'Bushtucker Trial'. He has been criticised by Rishi Sunak and suspended as a Conservative MP for taking part in the programme. Fellow contestant Boy George, whose mother was seriously ill during the pandemic, says he’s uncomfortable sitting next to his new campmate. Matt Hancock says he wants to show that politicians are human beings.
