Love Monster has a clear-out for a bring-and-swap event but can’t let his old things go.

Love Monster clears out his attic for a bring-and-swap event, but he can’t let his old things go until Elder Panda helps him realise that others might be able to use them every day.

It’s Fluffytown Swap Day, and Love Monster is in his attic looking for things that he doesn’t need so he can swap them with people who do need them. But, instead of leaving them in the box for the swap, Love Monster has fun with them and changes his mind taking them out again. He looks in his swap box to see his progress and is alarmed to see that it is still empty.  

Just then, Elder Panda arrives. He explains that it was difficult for him to fill his Fluffytown Swap box as he liked all of his things too, but then he thought that maybe someone in Fluffytown might like them more than he does. This makes Love Monster think as Elder Panda points out that maybe an Octowaffle will find a new home with someone who will use it every day. Love Monster agrees, and Elder Panda suggests they have a look for some other things and, together, they take the box to the Fluffytown Swap. 

At the Swap, Love Monster lays out his items, and Elder Mouse arrives at his table. He notices the Octowaffle and picks it up, making Love Monster have second thoughts about giving it away. But, when Elder Mouse’s baby mice scamper over excitedly,  Elder Mouse says the Octowaffle is perfect for making them breakfast and that he’ll use it every day. Seeing that the Octowaffle is going to make Elder Mouse and his mice so happy, Love Monster agrees to let it go. The baby mice jump up and down in celebration and Love Monster is happy that the Octowaffle has found a new home. 

Elder Mouse says he can come over any time for breakfast, and he’ll always have an extra waffle for him. Love Monster grins and gives Elder Panda a thumbs-up. Sometimes, finding a new home for your old things is a lovely thing to do.
