Edinburgh singer and songwriter Lewis McLaughlin won the Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition earlier this year. He's got a new EP, Rollin' On and he joins Nicola for a live session. 

Poet Leyla Josephine is embarking on a major tour with her debut poetry collection In Public/ In Private, reflecting on our inner and outer lives, and diving headlong into secrets, faith, mortality and desire. She shares a poem with Nicola ahead of a performance at Push The Boat Out poetry festival in Edinburgh. 

Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos stops in for a chat ahead of their gig at in the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. 

Sherlock’s little sister is back, in Netflix sequel Enola Holmes 2, starring Millie Bobby Brown. Film critic Wendy Lloyd casts her verdict on the film, which sees Enola setting up her own detective agency. 

Plus veteran music journalist and DJ Gary Crowley has released his third set of compilation CDs – so we’ll be enjoying some memories of the 90s, indie-style, with DJ and broadcaster Gary Crowley.
