Is Rishi Sunak right to stay away from COP 27?

A year on from COP 26 in Glasgow, world leaders will gather in Egypt for the COP 27 climate conference - since the meetings began in 1995 many promises have been made to try and control what the United Nations says is the prospect of "economy-destroying levels of global heating".
There’s still uncertainty over whether Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will attend.  Downing Street has said he could still attend if sufficient progress is made on preparations for the autumn Budget.  Last week No 10 said Mr Sunak was not expected to attend "due to other pressing domestic commitments".

Hamilton woman and her mum BOTH win titles at Miss GB contest.  28-year-old Amy Meisak from Hamilton has been crowned Miss Great Britain. Her mum, Laurie, landed a spot in the top 3 of the Classic Section after family and friends urged her to follow in her daughter's footsteps.
