Today, they mark the BBC’s 100 year anniversary by looking back at the history of BBC children’s television in the company of their guest Konnie Huq.   

Konnie, who presented flagship children’s TV show Blue Peter from 1997 until 2008, is the host of a new programme ‘Kids’ TV: The Surprising Story.’  She chats to Mark and Stuart about what she discovered about BBC children’s programming over the years.

Mark and Stuart also hear from listener’s about their favourite kids TV shows and memories, and play a selection of their favourite theme tunes.

Also on the show... long-running feature ‘The Chain’, which gives listeners the chance to pick a track that links in some way to the last. The list now contains over 8000 songs.

With a selection of music old and new to get the weekend started, including tracks from artists including Arlo Parks, James Brown, The Human League, Solange, Gaz Coombes, Marshall Jefferson, Nia Archives and John Grant.
