Moments after Hanna is hit by a car, the girls' world is turned upside down. 'A' is no longer content to play a game of cat and mouse, and things take a far more precarious turn.

The mystery and ominous messages continue for best friends Emily, Spencer, Hanna and Aria. No longer just threatening to reveal secrets, the all-knowing 'A' has stepped up the game and nothing is off limits. 

Moments after Hanna is hit by a car, the girls' world is turned upside down. 'A' is no longer content to play a game of cat and mouse, and things take a far more precarious turn. More than ever, the four girls must turn to each other for support. 

With Hanna in the hospital and armed with the information of who 'A' is, the girls backtrack to figure out how they got to this point. How could this person know everything? Meanwhile, each girl must also deal with a secret that is either discovered, confessed or confronted - proving that secrets still abound in Rosewood, Pennsylvania.
