To celebrate National Poetry Day, Janice speaks to Twitter's unofficial poet Laureate, Brian Bilston. Scottish Album of the Year shortlist and this week's film releases.

It’s National Poetry day today, so Janice will be speaking to writer and poet Brian Bilston who has built up a following of fans through the sharing of his verse on social media.  Glasgow based Performance Poet, Imogen Stirling will also join the conversation to talk about making poetry more accessible to a younger generation.

We’ll also hear from American novelist, A.M. Holmes about her new novel, The Unfolding, a contemporary satirical novel imaging the power behind the political situation in the US.   

The Scottish Album of the Year shortlist is announced today and Vic Galloway will take us through the artists up for the prestigious award.

Film reviewers Paul Gallagher and Amber Wilkinson review The Woman King starring Viola Davis and John Boyega; also up for review is comedy The Lost King directed by Stephen Frears and written by Steve Cogan and Jeff Pope, about the discovery of King Richard III’s remains beneath a Leicester Car Park.  Amsterdam starring Christian Bale and Margot Robbie is our final film up for review.
