Alistair represents an animal rescuer who stands accused of stealing a sick stray cat. 

Duty solicitor Alistair represents an animal rescuer who stands accused of stealing a sick stray cat she took into her care. Emily tries to recover money invested in a hotel in Turkey.

Many of us will seek legal advice in our lifetime, and some of us will need a lawyer to represent us in court. This series follows the work of law firms in the north of England, as they guide ordinary people through extraordinary times in their lives.

Barry’s finances are in ruin after he was persuaded to invest in a hotel in Turkey by a cold caller. Financial mis-selling specialist Emily steps in to try and recover his money, but it’s no easy feat. 

Animal rescuer Lucie stands accused of stealing a sick stray cat she took into her care. This after having spent months nursing it back to health and parting with thousands of pounds in vet bills. Duty solicitor Alistair is called on to defend her in a police interview, and he doesn’t give up until the investigation is dropped.
